Archives and current minutes may be reviewed at the Town Office.

    Trash and Recycling

Curbside trash pickup - Tuesday and Friday
Large objects are picked up from the curbside on the last Friday of each month.

Recycled materials are picked up curbside on Monday mornings when placed in the green recycling bin provided by the Town. Acceptable items include: clean paper, cardboard, newspaper; metal food containers, beverage and pet food cans, aluminum foil products; non-hazardous aerosol cans and caps; plastic bottles, containers, tubs and lids; and, food and beverage jars and bottles made of clear, brown and green glass. Recyclables placed in plastic bags are not accepted.

Recycling bins are available by contacting the Clerk-Treasurer.

Metal items, such as, but not limited to, computers, washers, dryers, fireplace grates, bikes and file cabinets will not be picked up with regular curbside trash or with the monthly large bulk pick up. The Town may schedule one or more pick up dates for metal items. Contact the Clerk-Treasurer for further information.

Yard waste is picked up on Monday. Yard waste should either go in a large brown paper bag or be bundled with string.

Any missed pick-up: call our town representative, Elvia Rodriguez, at (301) 556-2426, or email her at ERodrigu@wm.com. Our Glen Echo account number is 2043-7443. You probably won't need this, but here it is just in case you do.

Go to Montgomery County Solid Waste Services for detailed information on recycling in Montgomery County.
