Election Information
Glen
Echo residents elect officials to approximately
30 positions at the town, county, state
and federal levels. To register to vote
for Town elections (Mayor and Councilmembers),
contact the Clerk-Treasurer,
or simply register on election day as
you enter the polls. To register for elections
at all other levels of government, contact
the
Montgomery County Board of Supervisors
of Elections

Council Meeting Schedule
Official meetings of the
Glen Echo Town Council
are usually held on the
second Monday of each
month at 8:00 p.m. in
the Town Hall. All residents
are encouraged to attend.

Trash
and Recycling
Curbside
trash pickup is on
Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Large objects
are picked up from the curbside
on the last Friday of each month.
Recycled
materials are
picked up curbside on
Tuesday mornings when placed in the green recycling bin provided by the Town. Acceptable items include:
clean paper, cardboard, newspaper; metal food containers, beverage and pet food cans, aluminum foil products;
non-hazardous aerosol cans and caps; plastic bottles, containers, tubs and lids; and, food and beverage jars
and bottles made of clear, brown and green glass. Recyclables placed in plastic bags are not accepted.
Recycling bins are available
by contacting the Clerk-Treasurer.
Metal
items,
such as, but not limited
to, computers, washers, dryers,
fireplace grates, bikes and
file cabinets will not be
picked up with regular curbside
trash or with the monthly
large bulk pick up. The Town
may schedule one or more
pick up dates for metal items.

Yard
waste is picked
up on Monday. Yard
waste should either go
in a large brown paper
bag or be bundled with
string.
