CABIN JOHN DECEMBER 7

The Friends of the Clara Barton Community Center is sponsoring a free Holiday Craft Show the center on Sunday,  December 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. featuring artists and crafters from our community.  The center is located at 7425 MacArthur Boulevard in Cabin John, MD.—just north of the Cabin John Bridge.
There’ll be all kinds of crafts for sale—jewelry, beads, candles, Christmas items, wood crafts, prints, metalwork, ceramics, glass, oils, watercolors, fiber arts, photography, books … and more!  Refreshments—sodas, cider, coffee, cookies—will be available for a modest fee.  For more information, call the Center at 301-229-0010.

Text Box: WINTER’S EVE AT THE PARK

On Saturday, December 13 Glen Echo Park celebrates "Winter’s Eve." Performances, holiday crafts for kids, and a hot chocolate bar. Browse and buy fine artworks at the Holiday Art Show in the Popcorn Gallery and listen to the wonderful Capital Accord Chorus as they "light up the dark days of winter with song." Many of the resident artists' studios will also have works for sale, including the Art Glass Center, Glassworks, Glen Echo Pottery, and more. From 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free. IN GALLERY THIS MONTH

The Glen Echo Park Holiday Art Show this month will feature works by resident artists and instructors, and other invited artists. It will include glass, ceramics, photography, painting, and more. The park’s major resident visual arts groups, including the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery, Glen Echo Pottery, Photoworks, and the Art Glass Center at Glen Echo will be represented.
