By now most of you have received recycling cans for scrap metal. Hopefully they've been filled, dropped off at the container in front of Bethesda Co-op and refilled again!
Interest in this form of recycling has been so great that we've run out of paint cans and people in other communities are taking part as well. For those of you who don’t have a can, you can use any small container at home such as an old coffee can, a small box, or a Rubbermaid-type container. Below is the list of recyclable items that has been distributed:

Bottle caps
Keys, key rings, small chains
Unwanted jewelry
Door handles
Cabinet knobs
Nuts, bolts, washers, screws, nails
Paper clips, binder spirals
Pots, pans, lids
Coat hangers, wire
Picture frames
Broken scissors
Broken eyeglasses
Metal writing pens & pencils
Old tools, broken toys
Small pieces of pipe
Springs
Broken tomato plant cages

If anyone has any questions I can be reached at 301-229-2122. Thanks for your effort!
