Text Box: TOWN COUNCIL NOTES
	May 14

Chris Sheldon introduced himself as new owner of 6105 Yale Ave. and presented plans to renovate it. He said he and his wife and two young daughters are very excited to live Glen Echo…

Council Member Nancy Long was sworn in for another term by Mayor Beers…

The town is looking for a landscaper/architect to bid on the two parks on Princeton Ave. and the Town entryway. The amount of $5,000 has been budgeted for the parks and $20,000 for the entryway…

Clerk-Treasurer Cathie Polak presented various options for a new town hall sign, ranging from a marine grade plywood sign that would last 7-10 years to a sand blasted high density plastic sign that would last forever. The plastic sign would have to be repainted from time to time and the letters could be raised or sunken. The price range was between $1850 and $3900. The ironwork holding the sign would also be repaired. A motion to accept the plastic sign was made but tabled after Councilwoman Eve Arbor was concerned about the disparity in price ($1000) between the only bid that appeared professional and the next highest bid. She offered to try to get more bids.

Some tables in the Town Hall are going to be replaced.
