Candidates must be registered Glen Echo voters who have resided in the town at least one year prior to the election and be at least 25 years of age. They are not required to be U.S. citizens. Anyone wishing to run for council member must file a written declaration of candidacy no later than 20 days (April 17, 2007) prior to the election. Candidacy letters should be delivered to Susan Grigsby, Supervisor, Board of Elections or Cathie Polak/Clerk-Treasurer, Office of the Town of Glen Echo. The letters must state that the person is a candidate for the office and fulfills the requirements of office.
