Text Box: WHEN SNOW FALLS….

University Ave. is the designated Snow Emergency Route for the Town of Glen Echo.
When snow is anticipated, residents are asked to park only on the northeast side of University Ave., the side nearest MacArthur Blvd. or on the side streets.
There should be NO PARKING on the river side of University Ave. This will enable snow plows to keep a wide section of the roadway clear to permit fire and rescue access to town.

The Yellow Barn construction is on schedule. An old wall was found underground while excavating for the basement. It may be too old to be saved, Glen Echo Park Site Manager Kym Elder told the town council last month, but its discovery could affect the possibility of constructing a full basement.

The park would like to get reaction from the public for the proposed change in entry and egress from Oxford Rd., Ms. Elder said. The park would like to have public meetings and then have the various options on display at the park before making a decision. She said the aqueduct might pose a problem for a direct access option from MacArthur Blvd.
