	The National Capital Region Civil Rights book club will be meeting at the Clara Barton NHS on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 7:00-9:00pm. The book to be discussed is “Galveston and the 1900 Storm,” by Patricia Bellis Bixel.
	Copies of the book are available for purchase at the Clara Barton NHS. The book discusses the Red Cross' actions to help the Galveston African-American population on an equal basis in the face of patterns of segregation and discrimination prevalent at that time.
