Tuesday--recyclables, including plastic, metal and glass. Newspapers tied or in paper grocery bags. Wednesday—garden refuse, cut into four-foot lengths and tied, placed in compostable leaf/grass bags, or in a large trash container labeled “Recycling” and used only for yard waste. Last Friday of the month--heavy or large quantity of discardables. If you have any trash or recycling pick up problems call Waste Management directly at 301-340-0774 and ask for Dispatch. Text Box: EVENTS AT THE PARK Student Art Show September 2 – 10 Student artwork from classes at Glen Echo Park will be on display and for sale in the Popcorn Gallery and in the Partnership office. Artwork includes painting, photography, art glass, ceramics and more. Bingo at the Park Friday, September 8, Spanish Ballroom This annual event has been hosted by the Glen Echo Fire Department for over 20 years! In addition to Bingo this year, there will also be a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will help purchase additional equipment for the Department’s All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rescue services team, which includes sSpecialized off-road bicycles, global positioning equipment, and Segways.
