FOR PARK FOLK FESTIVAL

	The 26th Annual Washington Folk Festival will take place at Glen Echo Park June 3 from noon-11:00 p.m. and June 4 from noon-6:00 p.m. The festival features free music, dance, storytelling and crafts with Washington area performers and craftspeople.

            The Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture will host a benefit gala event on May 20, 2006.  The theme, “A Taste of Glen Echo,” will give guests a varied sampling of the programs offered at the park.  
	The night will start with appetizers in the Bumper Car Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. to be followed by dinner with a cabaret style presentation of dessert, music, entertainment and dancing in the Spanish Ballroom.
         Tickets are $175. Your support will allow the Partnership to reach out to a diverse community of artists, performers, dancers, teachers, students and visitors and continue to make the park a vibrant arts community.

Text Box: “CAROUSEL OF MEMORIES”
INCLUDES TOWN RESIDENTS

	A half-hour documentary about Glen Echo Park’s Dentzel carousel will be shown on Access Montgomery Cable Channel 21 in May and on Maryland Public Television in June.
	It includes scenes of Julia Wilson and her brother Eric riding the carousel as children and recent interviews with Julia and her son Bram, 8, regarding their feelings about the carousel.
	The air dates on Channel 21 are May 1 and 7 at 8:30 p.m., May 17 at 7:30 p.m., May 20 at 3:00 p.m., and May 21 at 9:30 p.m.  It will be broadcast on Maryland Public Television on June 28 at 10:30 p.m.
